K.C. Harris and Danny Pepper

July 8th, 2017

K.C. Harris

K.C. Harris comes from a long line of American music. Many have come before and many will follow after, but now is his time to create and perform his songs to all those who will lend their ears and listen. Born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, K.C. has since traveled all over the United States writing and playing his own music, as well as others’, wherever he goes.

K.C. has drawn inspiration from blues artists like Charley Patton, Blind Willie McTell and Howlin’ Wolf to other great American songwriters like Woody Guthrie, Tom Waits and Bob Dylan. He combines the old and the new, creating a sound that is vintage yet contemporary and relevant for the times. One thing is for sure, K.C. has a striking future ahead, and is one of the bright new faces of American songwriting.

Danny Pepper

“Danny Pepper’s songs are imbued with musical traditions that span from country to rock to grunge music—without ever feeling chained down or restricted by the traditions that they acknowledge.  Like the best songwriters, he takes what works for him and leaves the rest.  He will pair the sweetest cowboy ballad you’d ever heard with the tenaciousness of the best the early rock and rollers had to offer.  And when all is said and done, he’ll leave you wanting more.

But far beyond the genres and musical esthetics he works with, Dan – like all of the most captivating performers – can handcuff you to a story, not only for the length of a song, but ‘til he steps back off stage.  I consider myself very fortunate each time I get the opportunity to watch Dan perform.”
