Lords Of Liechtenstein, Folkapotamus, Kate Copeland

The Lords of Liechtenstein

The Lords of Liechtenstein is a contemporary folk duo composed of two brothers based in New York City. The Lords often draw comparisons to The Everly Brothers for their harmonic sensibilities and to The Smothers Brothers for their mischievous onstage interactions. They write purposeful lyrics to tell musical stories that fluctuate between heart-wrenchingly sad and outlandishly ridiculous topics. The Lords have opened for musical stalwarts such as Brett Dennen, Elephant Revival, and Buckwheat Zydeco, and have been featured on NPR's syndicated Mountain Stage program. Their newest album, Downhill Ride to Joyland, is a raucous fifteen-song romp through the ups and downs of human existence.

Kate Copeland

Kate Copeland is an award-winning singer/songwriter composer/arranger based out of New York City. A graduate of Oberlin Conservatory's composition program, she has worked in the studio with a variety of artists in addition to putting out her own music. Some recent production credits include Abakis' "I'm One Too" (2014), General Mojo's "How Hollow A Heart" EP (2016), and Mike O'Malley's "Growlers" EP (2016). She released her first solo album, "recollection room," in June 2015, and her follow-up EP "Red and Blue" in May 2016. Most recently ASCAP declared her this year's winner of the prestigious Robert Allen Award.

Folkapotamus is a Boston area based folk duo consisting of Penni Hart and Tony Trites. They have been performing together since 2011 at various venues throughout New England, such as the legendary Club Passim in Cambridge, MA. Their thoughtful lyrics and flowing melodies tell stories of life and love.
Folkapotamus's first studio release, "Whispered Words," was released in August of 2014. It made the Folk DJ Chart in August, and was also included in the Top 600 CDs of 2014. Their debut album was also named as one of the "Top 25 CDs of 2014" by Joltin' Joe from “Radio Nowhere” on WMSC in Montclair, NJ. Folk radio show “The Back Porch” on WVPE 88.1 in South Bend, IN, named Whispered Words as one of the top 30 CDs of 2015. Chicago Folk DJ Rich Warren also named “Whispered Words” as one of his “Picks of the Week” in January of 2015.

Folkapotamus has opened up for national acts including Vance Gilbert, Claudia Russell and Bruce Kaplan, and Davey O.
Folkapotamus is currently in the studio recording their second album, and plan on releasing it in the summer of 2017. Penni and Tony reside in Massachusetts with their rescue cats Oliver and Fernando, and two budgies Tyngo and Coconut.
