Simona Minns is a Lithuanian jazz vocalist and composer based in Boston, MA. She is a Berklee College of Music Alumna, performer and composer, presenting a selection of her inventive arrangements; jazz standards, classic rock and world music meet on one stage. She combines Nirvana, Pink Floyd and Linkin Park with standards like “Summertime”, “My Favorite Things”, “Girl From Ipanema” and explores unexpected stylistic arrangements by using jazz improvisation and diverse rhythms. Classically trained on Lithuanian zither, Simona earned her BA in jazz vocals at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater, shortly after moved to the United States to study at Berklee, where she majored in contemporary composition and production. She received the Berklee Outstanding Jazz Vocalist Award and after graduation became a full time musician, regularly performing and teaching in the US and Europe. Presently, Simona has released her debut album of original compositions “A Hunger Artist”, combining her shows with modern dance and theater. Simona will be playing with her follow colleagues: Rinat Tregerman on piano, Matt Pitts on upright bass and Vlade Guigni on drums. This show will be held soon after Simona's return from tour in Australia and New Zealand.
